White Dirt is a practice of synthesis— much like the soil, we are gathering and absorbing in order to make work that is rich, layered, and generative.
Our work spans ceramic, lighting, and furniture, each piece carrying a sculptural presence. These functional sculptures bring emotion, gesture, and intimacy into the things we live with.
We work in three modes:
-
Creating one-of-a-kind pieces
-
Making limited series that are sold worldwide
-
Accepting commissions for homes and businesses
After two decades of running her art studio, Dana Harel founded White Dirt in 2020 with the vision to create functional objects that draw on stories of the past, as a way of engaging with the present—offering familiarity and inviting engagement with timeless themes of sanctuary, family, and care.
